Community Life
Community Life at New Day is an expression of the relationships within our body. We live this out in a variety of expressions as diverse as our congregation. There are programs and avenues to get connected, but we believe the best way to find community is to open up your home and schedule to spend time building relationships. To the extent that we as individuals and families pursue one another is the extent to which community life is realized at New Day.
HOME GROUPS
Home Groups are small groups of people that gather together regularly to pursue their relationship with Jesus Christ and one another. Home Groups are an integral part of church life at New Day. They provide a safe environment to connect with the Lord through a variety of streams. No Home Group is the same and their structures develop and change along with the our lives.
If you are looking to join a Home Group, check out the map in the foyer. There are descriptions of each group currently available, as well as location and contact information.
If you feel led to start a Home Group, the best way to begin is by inviting 5 to 10 people who you already know to consider joining you in forming the group. The tasks of organizing and running the group can be shared among everyone involved, with you serving as the point person to get things going. If you want instruction in how to lead a Home Group, members of New Day’s leadership team are happy to serve you with that, just email newdaykc@gmail.com
CLASSES
Throughout the year, many courses are offered on a variety of topics such as marriage, finances, sexual brokenness, and more. For information on classes currently being offered, please check our news page.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Women's pot-luck dinner: The first Monday of every month at the church from 6:30-8:30pm. Please contact Brenda Rindels at lrindels@earthlink.net or Fran Golden at goldenf@umkc.edu.
MEN'S MINISTRY

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT
Need a night alone? Bring your kids to New Day the second Saturday of each month from 4-8:30 pm for games, pizza, and ice-cream. Cost is $8 per child or $20 per family for the night. Children must be between 2 and 10 years of age.
PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING

BAPTISM
Baptism fulfills Christs command and is practiced by His disciples. When a believer is immersed in baptism, it signifies their union with Jesus in His death and resurrection. We love to celebrate this decision and affirm it by making it part of our service. If you are interested in being baptized, please contact Lloyd Rindels.
